Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University (UCBL) offers its 46,000 students high-quality programs in the fields of Science and Technology, Health, and Sports Sciences. The Lyon Cancer Research Center (CRCL) is a cancer research institute accredited by UCBL, Inserm (UMR Inserm 1052), CNRS (CNRS 5286), and the Léon Bérard Center (CLB), with the Hospices Civils de Lyon (HCL) as its hospital partner. The CRCL opened in January 2011 with the aim of increasing the site’s international recognition and attractiveness, facilitating the transfer of knowledge to clinical practice and industry, and promoting education and training. The CRCL consists of 26 research teams, bringing together more than 600 staff members, including 150 researchers.
